My initial ideas for creating a music video was to pick a song within the rock/punk genre. This is because rock music videos have a very distinct style to them but at the same time each video is very different which leaves room for different ideas and interpretations of a song. I also wanted to do a rock/punk song because they tend to have more meaning and connotations within the lyrics of the songs which again, leaves space for different interpretations. I think this is a good starting point to create a music video because when working in a group, each person may have their own ideas and thoughts about one song which can be brought together to make one solid idea.
