The image above is one that I found of an Avril Lavigne greatest hits digipak. I chose this image to analyse because she is an artist that we were interested in doing in our group. The style of this digipak is very appropriate to Avril Lavigne's music and her public image. Although her music would be mainly categorised in the 'pop' genre, Avril Lavigne creates quite a rebellious and punk image for herself but at the same time comes across as quite feminine. This digipak reinforces that public image; the colour scheme is mainly pink and black, the pink showing the feminine and girly side of her and the black showing the punk and rebellious side of her. The disk in the digipak conveys the look of an old vinyl disk therefore maybe representing the old punk genre.The images of Avril which are shown on both sides of the digipak are quite glamorous and would probably appeal to her target audience. I think that her target audience would mainly be teenage girls, as they would see her as a role model.
